Join us to appreciate a summer morning in the bypass lands. After a brief orientation and bathroom stop at the County Museum, we will caravan just North of Willits for a three-mile walk along Mill Creek. In addition to watching birds as they wrap up their nesting seasons, we are likely to see butterflies and other pollinators visiting late-blooming flowers. Participants will have the opportunity to explore a forest of ash trees that spends most of the year inundated with water.
